Celebrities and Tattoos
 Tattooing is not a new trend as it has been
around for more than five thousand years. Tattoo is a marking made by
inserting indelible ink into the layers of skin to change the pigment
for decorative body modification. The word tattoo originated ‘tatau’.
Tattooing in the western world has its origins in Polynesia, and in the
discovery of ‘tatau’ by the eighteenth century explorers. This
Polynesian practice became popular in European countries before
spreading in the western world.
Tattoos are now ultimate fashion statement among celebrities and
public all around the world. The attraction with the tattoos has
increased in recent years. Almost all celebrities are now seen with
tattoos now days. Some prefer temporary tattoos and some of them go with
permanent ones. The temporary tattoos can be removed easily, but the
permanent ones cannot be removed very easily. Tattoos and
celebrities: There has been an increasing trend towards the
tattoos among the celebrities. This attracts the interest everyone. The
increasing trend of tattoos among the stars has also increased the
trends towards the public. Celebrities add tattoos for certain seasons.
There are many celebrities who have enormous number of tattoos engraved
on them. Let’s look at some of those.
 David Beckham; The
famous English football player has many tattoos on him. His tattoos
depict the people around him. He has tattoos of his sons and wife on
him. Beckham has many other tattoos on him. The newest tattoo of Jesus,
which is on his torso, is taken from a painting. Beckham has a tattoo
that depicts Christian iconography. He also has a crufix on his neck, a
guardian angel on his shoulder blades and an angel on his right
shoulder. Beckham also has a Roman numeral seven on his right arm as a
symbol of his number seven shirt he wore for Manchester united. He also
has a Templar Knights tattoo, recognizable by their white mantle with
distinct Red Cross. This tattoo is the symbol of him and the English
team. There is a giant angel tattoo on his forearm whose wings meet the
other tattoos. This angel holds a flame on her hand. His majority
tattoos were done by Manchester tattooist Louis Malloy. Drew
Barrymore Drew Barrymore a famous American actress and producer
have reported six tattoos on her currently. Drew has a bouquet of
flowers tattoos on her left side hip. The most famous tattoo of Drew is
the black simple butterfly on her stomach. She has a small black
crescent moon on her moon. This is smallest tattoo she has on her. The
unique cross tattoo on her lower right leg is done in a very stylish
way, along with vines surrounding the image. These cross tattoos are
very famous among the tattooing images. Drew has two angels drawn on her
lower back. One of the angels has her mother’s name, ‘Jaid’ and the
other one has her former boyfriends name on her. Drew is very famous
with her tattoos.
 Steve O:
Steve o is a famous American stunt performer and a television
performer. He has a tattoo portrait of himself on his back. He has
collection of mixed subject matter and quality. He has a large pot leaf,
a depiction of a male genetalia, a pair of four letter word tattooed
across his knuckles, “mud flap girl” rendered as a many hundred pound
figure and one of those Christian style fish but with the word “Satan”
inside it.
The list of celebrities with tattoos has increased along the period
showing that celebrities have a great amount of interest with the
tattoos. This interest has increased the number of tattooist across the
world.
